Quest Guardians provides trusted guardianship for international students attending UK boarding schools.

We act as a reliable point of contact for parents and schools, ensuring students receive consistent care, guidance, and support throughout their time in the UK. From academic term time to holidays and emergencies, we help ensure every situation is managed calmly and appropriately.

Our approach is built on clear communication, responsibility, and genuine care. As a family-run organisation, we value long-term relationships and take pride in doing things properly, with attention to detail and steady, dependable support.

Why does my child need a UK guardian?

Boarding schools require a UK-based adult who can act on your behalf at any time.

UK contact

A trusted UK-based point of contact: We act as the main contact for schools, parents, and students when immediate support is needed. This ensures clear communication across time zones and situations.

Emergency support

Support during emergencies or unexpected situations: If a student becomes unwell, needs to leave school urgently, or requires assistance outside term time, we are available to respond quickly and appropriately.

Holiday stays

Safe and suitable accommodation during school breaks: We arrange carefully selected host families, ensuring students have a stable, welcoming home environment during half terms, exeats, and holidays.

Year-round care

Guidance and continuity throughout the year: From travel arrangements to welfare support, we help ensure students are properly cared for and never left to manage unfamiliar situations alone.

Quest Guardians is accredited by AEGIS, the UK’s independent body for guardianship organisations. AEGIS sets and monitors professional standards through a detailed inspection process that assesses the quality of student care, safeguarding, communication, and business practice.

Our most recent inspection in 2025 recognised the strength of our communication with parents and schools, the close relationships maintained by our regional teams, and the consistent care provided to students throughout the year. The report also highlighted our strong safeguarding culture, regular school visits, and the high levels of satisfaction reported by students and parents.

We have a trusted network of 350 carefully selected host families across the country, many of whom have worked with us for years.

We also request a balance for expenses to be held with Quest Guardians to cover any accommodation, travel or other expenses incurred during your child’s education.

We recommend a balance of £1,500 to be held on account.

“Hosting for Quest is a pleasurable experience, the team are fully on hand whenever you need them, nothing is too much trouble for them – however small the problem you have, they will help you through it & make you feel at ease. They will do their upmost best to provide you with a student that will fit into your family life & interests. We have hosted for them for many years & other hosting companies too, but we wouldn’t want to go to any other hosting company now – as the others do not compare to Quest. We had a regular student that came to us for every exeat weekend & half term holidays until she no longer needed a host family as she turned 18 years & moved to London University. She was a beautiful, caring, respectful student who always greeted us with huge smile. She became like an added addition to our family and we each in turn got used to each others ways. “I spend all my sixth form life with Fooks family. It ’s hard to say in wards about how brilliant they are, everyone in the family are so nice and supportive. There are so many precious moments with them, one of my favourite memory is played cluedo last Christmas. Also the time we spent together on the beach was wonderful, and all three doggys are so cute! I still remember i got covid at beginning of last summer holiday, and Fooks family especially Juliet and granny look after me so well. Also when my card been hacked everyone was so supportive and gave me really helpful advice. Also the brilliant environment they provided to me when i revise for my alevel, and I also appreciate that they arrange many times of ice skating for me as I ask. My advice will be try to make your trip or holiday down to countryside in UK as it ’s literally gorgeous and welcome everyone go to rugentino in Wells (it ’s the best Italian restaurant)”
